I am a native Oklahoman having been born and raised here. As the daughter of a teacher, I have always been interested in learning and my focus, as an adult has been in travel and all it has to offer! I’ve been married for seventeen years to a high school basketball coach and we have a beautiful daughter. So, being married to a coach, you can see I have experience in planning group travel not only for sports teams, but other school groups such as bands, cheerleaders, academic teams, etc.! Not just travel in the United States, but worldwide, as well.

I’ve worked in the travel industry for fifteen years planning and booking vacations to destinations worldwide for one to a zillion. Well, maybe not a zillion! My expertise includes everything from air tickets only to complicated custom vacations. I have always liked to travel! Perhaps it started while I was a young man in the Navy. Ireland, Alaska and Australia were my first “have to visits” before I died. I have been fortunate enough to visit all three countries several times.

When we started Vacations R Us, we vowed to very seldom send clients to destinations that we had not experienced. We then decided to each take an area and become certified in that destination. I chose Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands.

I’ve traveled to all of these areas several times and can offer you professional advice concerning your vacationing there. Early on, we realized that the travel business was going to be accessible largely through the Internet, and at the same time there were going to be scam artists that would con honest people out of their hard earned vacation dollars.
